Mule sold for Rs 2.28 lakh!

GARMUKTESHWAR (UP) : A mule of foreign breed was sold for Rs 2.28 lakh in the Ganga Mela here, the highest a beast of burden has fetched in the weeklong market.

              



              Amirick Singh, who sold the mule on Monday said he had purchased the Australian-bred mule from Rajasthan for Rs 1.5 lakh a year ago.

              Ganga Mela, which concluded today, is considered the biggest market for mules in northern India.
