Increase in Services on Thane-Vashi Section from 1st December by Central Rly

Central railway has decided to increase the suburban services between Thane and Vashi from 18 to 22 for the benefit of commuters.

The Thane-Vashi section, which has 4 new stations namely Airoli, Ghansoli, Koparkhairane and Turbhe, was opened for suburban passenger traffic.Initially 12 services were introduced and it used to take 40 minutes to cover the distance of 18.6 kms between Thane and Vashi.Subsequently with the commencement of new suburban time-table, the services were increased to 18 to cover the distance in 35 minutes.Now 22 services (11 services in each direction) will run covering the distance of Thane-Vashi section in 31 minutes only.
