New Delhi : Taking on low-cost carriers, Air Sahara today announced a new scheme under which fares as low as 80 per cent of the normal ones would be offered depending on the number of seats available on a particular flight.

Tickets could be purchased under this new scheme without advance bookings and passengers could now travel on Air Sahara flights at a cost of Rs 2.40 per kilometre, airline President Alok Sharma said here.

Tiruchirappalli : Kingfisher Airlines will be introducing a daily service in the Bangalore-Trichy-Bangalore segment effective from January 10, airline sources said.

According to the sources, the airlines has been accorded the requisite clearances from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGGA) for this service and the company will be deploying ATR 72 Aircraft.

New Delhi : Low-cost carrier SpiceJet today announced a promotional offer, under which 99,999 seats would be up for grabs at just 99 paisa each.

The tickets purchased under the offer, launched on the eve of Republic Day celebrations, would be valid for travel between February 15 to April 15.

Jaipur : Air Arabia, the Sharjah-based low-fare airline, recently made its first flight to Jaipur. Air Arabia will fly daily to Jaipur.

New Delhi : Low-cost public sector carrier Air India Express, which completed one year of operations to the Gulf, today said it will expand its network to three more Indian cities. With this, Air India Express will cater to eight destinations in the country.

Thiruvananthapuram : The low cost airline Air Deccan today launched its airbus A-320 service from here to Delhi and Mumbai. The city was the seventh base for Air Deccan after Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, Air Deccan Chief Revenue Officer John K Kurivilla told reporters today.

Chennai: Country's flagship carrier, Indian here today said some city-bound flights would be "temporarily" withdrawn from May 1 to May 31 due to operational reasons. An IA release said here that the evening flights 802/801 on Chennai-Delhi-Chennai sectors have been withdrawn.
